In another stunning example of disrespect for the laws of the land, President Donald Trump pardons convicted felon George Santos. The former NY Republican Congressman Santos had pleaded guilty to a slew of charges involving stealing, identity fraud, wire fraud and was sentenced to a jail term. In the most brazen misuse of presidential power yet, Trump declared that Santos at least had the courage to vote Republican. The partisanship displayed by Trump and his party has crossed the line into something that will destroy the American Republic. If you show no respect for the laws of your country by your actions what hope is there for the sanctity of everything that has gone before you and is the bedrock of the United States of America?
President Trump Makes A Mockery Of The Office Of The Presidency
The whole pardon thing is so monarchical, as to thrust us all back into the dark ages of history. A criminal President, like Trump, can sell presidential pardons to the highest bidders. A partisan President can pardon convicted criminals from his own side of politics. Donald Trump, obviously, subscribes to the birds of a feather concept, where fellow crims should be free to band together. I imagine that having these beyond the pale folk indebted to him is, also, of interest. America has crossed the line and should be reprimanded by all other governments committed to the rule of law and democratic justice.

Trump pardons convicted felon George Santos, the fantasist former Congressman from NY. This stuff is like something out of the pages of a bad novel. You know, as a student of American history I always wondered how the sometimes predicted fall of the American civilization would occur, as it seemed unlikely not that long ago. However, after a decade of Donald J Trump and observing where that nation now finds itself, it is no longer akin to the fall of Rome mystery. We are watching it unfold before our eyes in real time. Trump is destroying institution after institution. He is the great wrecker of the United States. The grifter from Queens is desecrating the works of Washington, Hamilton, Adams, Lincoln, Kennedy and numerous other great leaders that have come before him.
