Why Many Men Don’t Read Books

A lot of men don’t read books because they don’t want anyone else inside their head. Books and written material are sneaky like that, they start up arguments abut stuff and try to convince you. If you don’t let them in to begin with, you haven’t any worries on that score. Books can be a bad business.

36 Points But Who’s Counting

Just scored 36 points for my afternoon on the golf course. 36 big one’s for all my hard work on and around the greens. Thirty six Stableford points means shooting your allotted handicap on the day for those not in the know. It means I can walk tall for the rest of the week rather than feel small for failing. This is the funny thing about golf and its strictures within clubland. We toil and do battle with ourselves and the course in a bid to reach parity and possibly glory. A pass mark is 36 points but who’s counting.

Der Regen Fallt Schon Wieder

Der Regen fallt schon wieder. Scheisse, ich habe diesen verdammten Regen total satt. Golf ist nicht gut im Regen. Bei Nasse rutschen die Dinger und konsequentes Ballshlagen ist schwer zu erreichen. Auch zu viel Regen ist schlecht fur die Seele. Golfer singen selten im Regen, entrinken aber nicht, winken. Sogar die Vogel verschwinden, wenn es regnet. Birdies versiegen und Eagles sind extrem unwahrscheinlich. Ich rufe den Gott des Himmels an, mit dem Regen aufzuhoren, denn wir haben genug, danke!

Socket Rocket Shanking Shame

Every now and then, seemingly from out of nowhere I experience socket rocket shanking shame. For those in the dark about this golfing condition par horrendous, it is when the golf ball goes hard right instead of straight ahead. Most usually encountered with a wedge in your hands this is as a result of the hosel hitting the ball. Obviously it is a bad strike, as most of the face misses the golf ball. My old golf pro used to tell me that it was only millimetres away from being a perfect shot. Unfortunately, nearly is never good enough in golf; and he was probably just trying to help me feel better about the situation.

Uppity women talking about sexual harassment and such like make their viewer’s blood boil – which is the whole idea for Fox. Getting their audience riled up keeps eyeballs on them and advertising rates going up for their revenue.Popularizing Poisonous Issues For Political GainThe politics of grievance is all about popularizing these causes for the benefit of candidates and the party. The party promoting these grievances doesn’t need positive policies. They just bang on about how the other side is to blame for the problem.
